Asics might need to be an in-store purchase from now on. Quality is inconsistent. I think Asics has some inconsistencies with their manufacturing. I bought the same model of shoes in person a few weeks ago at a shoe store and they are extremely comfortable. The pair I purchased online only differ, from what I can tell, in that they are a different color and were made in Vietnam, while the store-bought pair were made in Indonesia. The “online” pair aren’t nearly as comfortable; they’re going to need a store-bought sport inner-sole. I’ve had the same issue in the past with a pair of Vietnam-made Asics. So I’ll keep buying Asics, but from now on, I’ll probably go to a store and pay attention to where they’re made. It’s annoying to have to spend an extra $10 on inserts when the two purchases should have been built identically.

Quality and sizing not up to par I’ve been buying ASICS shoes for years but they may have lost me as a customer. Don’t know what’s going but they’re not what they used to be. I bought two pair recently and even though with the second purchase I sized up and went with a wide width they still seem small. ASICS used to be my “go to” favorite walking shoe. They were always comfortable right out of the box and needed no break in period at all. Now the toe box is narrow and the sizing seems off. I may give them one more try or maybe I’ll just switch to something else. Too bad–ASICS used to be good, quality shoes.

Great Shoes, great support, great for distance walking! Great shoes! Best I’ve had in a long time for supporting my feet and I have long tried to purchase quality shoes. Had such a problem with plantar fasciitis at the beginning of the year, and my problem is mostly resolved from wearing these shoes around the house and to walk distances in.
